2021 National Underclass South Showcase
Samuel Shepard is a 2024 OF/RHP with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Belton, TX who attends Belton. He ran a 7.34 second sixty. A primary outfielder with a lean build showing room to continue filling out moving forward. In the outfield he works under control with short choppy strides to the baseball fielding it on the side and seeing the ball in well. the ball comes out cleanly with a full arm action getting on top of the ball with extension out front topping out at 84 mph. Left-handed hitter, loads the hands deep creating separation before working down hill with the hand into the hitting zone with a compact bat path that shows a good shift into contact with the lower half when he is on time with the load displaying projectable barrel skills. Excellent student.
