Lio Garcia is a 2028 SS/OF with a 5-9 143 lb. frame from Suwanee, GA who attends North Gwinnett. Medium, athletic frame with narrow shoulders and a lean build, room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.23 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, moves well on feet with lots of balance in the dirt, softness to hands and shows confidence in glove skills, can drop slot to make the throw across diamond, lots of accuracy on throws, clean funnel while on the move. Fields it cleanly out front in the outfield as well, shorter steps on the charge, continued to show arm strength and accuracy on throws to the intended base, athleticism allows for versatility. Right-handed hitter, begins with an open stance and a lower hand set at the plate. Loads hands back at start, loose stroke with a linear path through the zone, repeats it well and lives on the barrel. Present bat speed through the zone, works to all fields, polished operation with nice potential moving forward. Named to the 2023 13u Perfect Game Select Festival.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
