2022 13U/14U Sunshine South Showcase (Tues/Wed)
Nick Romano is a 2026 2B/RHP, SS, MIF, OF with a 5-4 125 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Concordia Lutheran. Posted an 8.33 in the 60. Primary 2B is a young build with some athletic upside present. His infield actions have a sound fundamental base, moves to both sides well getting into good position with awareness and quickness. The arm action is developing and should complement the solid glove skill soon. In the outfield he has intent to work downhill, body control is still young in athleticism but has a good idea working through it with momentum. On the mound he showed some polish in his mechanics and compact delivery topping the fastball out at 71 with feel to spin the breaking ball. Present athleticism was best on the mound, easy and fluid movements and works with some rhythm. The curveball held consistent 11/5 shape and is clean out the hand. Switch hitter is establishing the right-handed swing mechanics. Works comfortably from the left side showing a more loose and connected swing. Generates bat speed to project on with feel for the barrel and ability to create leverage up the middle.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
