Max Hendrix is a 2025 MIF/RHP, OF with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from Oro Valley, AZ who attends Canyon Del Oro. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean build, has room to fill throughout moving forward. Primary shortstop, shows smooth footwork in the dirt, has a feel for actions and repeats well, showed nicely in live action, quickness to arm on throws across with present carry, moves well to right and shows accuracy on throws. Longer arm action in the outfield, clean glove skills and has some momentum working through the ball, showed accuracy to intended base. Also pitched, worked exclusively out of the stretch, leg lift up past belt, shorter stride coming down mound with tall release; full arm action through the back working to a three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 74 mph, occasional sink down in zone, can incorporate additional lower half. Flashed 11-5 shaped curveball, subtle life; tends to lower release point on changeup at 66 mph but landed for a strike. Right-handed hitter, begins with a lower hand set and high back elbow at the plate with an open stance, utilizes a hanging leg lift trigger for timing. Has timing components to swing,, handsy swing and carries them low through swing, does a nice job of staying short and direct to the ball. Works on a linear path through the zone, has feel for the barrel and projects with added strength.
