Tylar Scott is a 2021 3B/RHP, C with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Fontana, CA who attends Redlands. Recorded a 7.36 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium, well-proportioned frame with athletic look to it. Primary third baseman with some bounce in his steps; fluid actions into the fielding process with clean funnel out in front, smooth transfers and good lateral range. Showed ability to throw from multiple angles and recorded arm strength up to 82 mph across the diamond. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a deliberate paced delivery and some effort through release. Works from an abbreviated wind-up with a big leg lift and hip turn into balance, while moving down the slope with efficient lower half movements. Fastball worked in the mid-to-upper 70s for the most part, topping at 81 mph from a high 3/4 arm slot. Developing command of the strike zone with some downhill plane to the fastball that was effective to both right and left handed hitters. Mixed in a slower curveball that has loose spin traits and some downer action to it when he gets on top of it. Right-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and hover trigger. Lofted stroke with advanced feel for the barrel and the ability to create leverage out in front. Consistent bat-to-ball skills with raw power potential to the gaps that translates well into game action. Solid overall skill set that plays up in game, can continue to improve with minor mechanical refinements. Good Student. Named to the 2020 South Uncommitted Showcase Top Prospect List.
