Jader Shipp is a 2023 OF/C with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Montgomery, TX who attends Home School. Lean medium size frame. Ran a 7.37 60-yard dash. A versatile defensive player that showed fundamental footwork to the baseball in the outfield, solid average speed and an average throwing arm with accuracy. Showed the ability to make the routine play in the infield with footwork and the ability to get to a consistent quality fielding position, then made accurate throws across the diamond. Hit from a square stance with a deep backside load. Swings with intent and a slight uphill bat path, combination of strength and bat speed in the swing while putting some well connected swings on the baseball, handles the barrel and hit to all fields. Collected three hits in game. Named to South Uncommitted Showcase Top Prospect List. Good student.
