Matthew Garcia is a 2026 C/RHP with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Heights. Garcia works from a medium build with projection remaining as a '26 prospect. Starting from his primary spot behind the dish, he used a square set and repeated the arm action well to produce consistent throws around the bag. As the footwork refines and Garcia continues to physically develop, expect the arm strength to increase. Posted a 2.26 pop time. On the mound, he utilized a three pitch FB/CB/CH mix effectively with the CH killing spin and showcasing some fading action for swing and miss. He remained in the zone and pitched to contact, ultimately topping out at 76 mph from a 3/4 slot. Offensively, the righty started from an even balanced stance with an inverted front foot. He swung with intent to generate pull side impact and should see power continue to develop in the future. Ran a 7.61 sixty yard dash.
