Michael Ortiz is a 2022 OF with a 6-0 220 lb. frame from Cidra, PR who attends Toritos Academy. Extra strong build. Left handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a pretty simple load, stays in line well and works into his back leg and lower half, swings hard and creates some bat speed, looking to pull and lift the ball and did a good job of turning the barrel. Runs well for his size, 7.15 in the sixty. Has clean actions in the outfield, arm action is compact and quick, makes on line throws with good accuracy and repeats his footwork. Excellent student.
