Jake Webb is a 2024 1B/3B/OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends Bridgeland. Big bodied kid. In the outfield, works methodically to the baseball glove secures the routine play effectively. Arm action is a bit unorthodox leading to some inaccurate throws. At first base, tends to wait back a bit but fields it out front, gathers and feeds both bases accurately. At the plate, he sets up with even base gaining quality separation to impact. Clean swing as a whole with a strength over base speed type approach. Creates leverage with loudness towards the pullside with an exit velo of 88. On the mound, he works out of a stretch only operation with quality extension down the mound. Long arm action with release out of a high three-quarters slot. Fastball is straight and command has improved as the outing progressed. Challenge fastballs one after another. Flashed a breaker with cement mixer style breaker, healthy shape. Could benefit from snapping it harder. Body is really projectable just needs to clean up the mechanics and arm action. 7.26 60-yard. Great Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
