JP Elbert is a 2027 C/RHP/SS with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Dubuque, IA who attends Wahlert. Recorded a 8.08 second sixty yard dash time. Young frame with a small build. Primary catcher with a high and even set up. Showed some quickness and gained a lot of ground, good fundamentals with big steps. Simple operation behind the plate. Secondary shortstop, moves well with some bounce to the steps. Made all the plays. Right-handed hitter, starts from an even stance with high hands and a high back elbow, utilizes a big hanging toe tap trigger. Rhythm in the swing with a slow and controlled operation. Rotational swing with developing connectivity to the lower half. Excellent student.
