Jacob Watson is a 2024 3B/RHP/MIF with a 5-7 155 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Cypress Ranch. Medium build. In the outfield, works quickly to the baseball, fields it out front and carried the momentum well into throws that showed carrying accuracy to both bases. In the infield, feet work direct to the baseball with quickness, moves well laterally. Little bit of stiffness in the hands but secures it cleanly. Quick release with accuracy across the diamond. Made a nifty diving play in the five-six hole, got up and made a strong throw to first. At the plate, very short bat path out of a narrow start. Not much weight shift and tends to cut it off at the top. Contact first approach. Could benefit from added strength and refinment in the swing. On the mound, he works with methodical delivery but good pace and tempo. Long arm stroke with moderate arm speed. On time and over the front side with decent intent as a whole. Fastball plays pretty straight with occasional arm side run to get in on the right-handed hitter. Firm tight slider shows some sharpness to induce swing and miss. 7.16 60-yard. Outstanding student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
