Derek Jenk is a 2023 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Horizon. Lean athletic frame. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.32 seconds. Primary outfielder, comes to the ball well, throws from a lower arm angle, made accurate one hope throws. Also worked out at first base, was athletic, had good hands and feet. Moved well laterally and had a quick transition and release. From the mound, threw from the stretch, thew a heavy fastball that sat 69-72 mph. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with a toe tap. Contact hitter. Excellent student.
