2022 Sunshine South Showcase (Tues/Wed)
Hunter Kocurek is a 2025 C/3B with a 5-7 150 lb. frame from Cleveland, TX who attends Home School. Medium frame with slender, compact build; ran 60 yard dash in 8.32 seconds. Switch-hitter, sets up slightly open from the left side, works uphill with limited stability in lower half, slots barrel very low and works up. Similar from right side, flatter path with more even-based stance, similar contact. Primary catcher, receives well and shows soft glove hand, stands straight up, doesn't gain any ground, clocked up to 75 mph on throws. Also took infield reps, extra steps into release across the diamond, developing hand actions, graded out best behind the plate. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
