Dalton Douglas is a 2025 LHP/1B with a 6-4 220 lb. frame from Gilbert, AZ who attends Casteel. Large frame. Ran the 60-yard dash in 7.77 seconds. Primary left-handed pitcher, throws out of the stretch, the hands start high with a leg kick slowly bring them down working down hill on the delivery. The fastball sat 66-70 mph, threw a lot of strikes and commanded the zone well. Flashed a curveball that sat 56 mph to keep the batters off balanced. Also worked out at first base, showed the ability to make the routine plays, moved well laterally for his size.Consistently made accurate throws across the diamond. At the plate, hits from a wide even base with the hands high by the ear and a high back elbow. Displayed a stiff direct path swing with a simple load, consistently driving the ball to his pull side. Good student.
