Troy Connor is a 2022 SS/2B, OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Murrieta, CA who attends Temescal Canyon. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.07 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, fields the ball out front with some bend at waist, can continue to incorporate additional lower half, glove plays and shows a sound transition, carry and accuracy on throws across the diamond, arm strength will continue to develop. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a closed stance at the plate, utilizes a contact oriented approach in the box. Creates line drive contact with a linear path through the zone, stays short to it and shows some present handle for the barrel. Keeps hands inside the ball, can incorporate additional extension out front, works the middle of the field. Very good student.
