Raymundo Vazquez is a 2024 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Friendswood, TX who attends Friendswood. Large frame with long levers and some strength now. Ran a 7.41 second 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, slower paced deliberate delivery, easy break into move down the mound, bigger intent to low three-quarters release and mixed 3 pitches. Fastball up to 82 with sink hard into right-handed hitters, tunnels slider with spin at 2300 RPMs that projects well, did flash changeup, pitches to contact with strikes. Also worked out in infield, moves well for size, wide base to receive and accurate across. Right-handed hitter, gets long levers synced up and shows some bat speed, some inconsistency in the results but bigger power upside to the offensive profile, ran into some good ones during batting practice. Named to 2022 South Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
