Jack Lafflam is a 2025 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-4 150 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Brophy College Preparatory. Extra-large, athletic frame with long limbs and a projectable frame with plenty of room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.78 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, slow paced delivery on the mound with a full hands over head path for timing; full arm action through the backside working to a high three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, mostly true in life with occasional running life, repeats delivery well for size and worked around the zone, velocity projects very well moving forward. Slider improved nicely throughout outing with short shape up to 75 mph, nice potential to it moving forward. Flashed both a changeup and curveball as well. Worked out both in the outfield and infield, more refined in the outfield at present with nice carry to throws and body control in actions, plays under control, accurate throws to the intended base. Right-handed hitter, begins with a balanced stance and tight hands held in front, loads hands back at start of swing. Shows quickness to hands upon launch with lower half incorporated, worked the middle of the field with line drive contact and employs a linear path through the zone.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
