2023 14U Texas All-State Games
Luke Odom is a 2027 C/RHP, 1B, 3B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends St. John's. Slender, durable build with some strength. Ran a 8.38 in the sixty. Catcher, side saddle setup and working on getting down in crouch more. Can carry momentum more to bag. Solid arm to the bag accurate. On the bag and worked well through the arm action. Infielder, solid arm across and showed well on the backhand. Worked through his actions and made all the necessary plays. Also pitched, fuller three-quarter slot and easy mover down the bump. Fastball commanded well, slider backed up at points but shows good action and paired well with his breaker. Right-handed hitter, balanced stance and high hand set. Loads backside and transfers weight a bit. Showed some hand speed on some sprayed liners the other way. Good feel to all fields and lots to like both sides.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
