Cade Calhoun is a 2027 SS/RHP/C with a 5-10 153 lb. frame from Conroe, TX who attends Grand Oaks. Medium athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow upright stance with a simple toe tap load and stride into contact, has some strength in his hands and creates some bat speed, can drive the ball to the opposite field gap but also turned hard on a ball in the game, has some feel for the barrel and projects well as a hitter. 7.32 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense, works low to the ground and fields the ball cleanly, some quickness to his feet, makes accurate throws with some developing carry. Also caught, has some idea on the fundamental footwork and his exchange, will develop further with more repetitions and additional strength. Took a turn on the mound, works from the stretch with simple mechanics that he repeated well. Fastball worked in the low 70's and topped out at 75 mph, curveball showed some tightness with good shape and feel for landing it for a strike. Good athlete who will keep getting better.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
