Cooper Ward is a 2023 2B/SS with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends Cy-Fair. Medium size slender frame. Ran a 7.75 60-yard dash. A middle infielder with average fundamental footwork to the baseball, consistent prep step, fields the baseball out front, funnels to waist working up the middle, limited lateral quickness but efficient lateral angles to the baseball and developing arm strength on throws across the diamond. Hit from an even base at the plate, creates some hand separation and takes a short swing to the baseball with limited extension through the baseball. Developing ability to engage the lower half into the swing and an average feel for getting to the barrel. Used the whole field some. Excellent student.
