Jayden Parrilla is a 2022 OF/RHP, 2B, 3B with a 5-9 172 lb. frame from Yorba Linda, CA who attends Esperanza. Medium frame with an athletic type build showing a sturdy lower half with strength up top as well. Ran a 7.28 second sixty yard dash. Primary Outfielder, utilizing a great first step as he took efficient routes to the baseball while showing range. Scooped it up out front while carrying weight well into throws. Very urgent release as he got the baseball out of hand in a hurry. Accurate arm as he threw it 81 mph during drills. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, starting with a small side-step to a belt high lift. Sits on back side before driving down the mound. Shorter arm action in the back before releasing from a high three-quarter slot. Did a good job getting extended down the mound as the operation was mechanically sound. Fastball up to 79 mph with cut to it at times. Mixed in a vertical breaking ball and a solid splitter that dove late in the zone. Filled up the zone and trusted his arsenal. Secondary Second Baseman, quick feet as he worked smoothly around the baseball. Stayed low throughout the gather and release. Accurate around the bag as he threw it 75 mph. Right-Handed Hitter, starting with a slight knee bend while narrow. Bat waggle before working into separation with a toe tap trigger. Fires the hands as he stays linear while looking to drive it middle-away. Feel for the bat head showing as he ran into plenty of barrels. Outstanding Student.
