Zach Tyson is a 2023 OF/1B with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Sanatoga, PA who attends Pottsgrove. Recorded a 7.01 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium, high-waisted frame with some quick twitch athleticism and room to add strength. Primary outfielder with anticipatory actions into the fielding process, a clean funnel off his front foot and smooth transitions into an exaggerated crow-hop. Carried momentum well into release and recorded online, accurate throws up to 80 mph during drills. Left-handed hitter that hits from an even based stance with a tight hand set, high back elbow and simple leg lift trigger. Contact oriented stroke with line drive swing path and good usage of his lower half to torque the barrel quickly. Displays consistent bat-to-ball skills and the ability to use the whole field effectively. Showed occasional impact to the pullside that will continue to improve with additional strength and maturity. Solid overall skill set with upside on both sides of the ball. Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
