Jack Shaeffer is a 2024 RHP/1B, 3B, OF with a 6-1 210 lb. frame from West Lafayette, IN who attends West Lafayette Jr/Sr. Primary right-handed pitcher with a solid frame and strong build. Recorded a 6.77 second 60-yard dash time. Simple delivery working from the stretch with a coiled lift to belt. Full arm swing to a high 3/4 slot delivery sinking into his strong lower half down the slope. Fastball up to 86 mph with downhill plane from high slot and curveball in low-70s. Featured a cutter with short sharp action at 79 mph and a changeup in the high-70s for a four-pitch arsenal. Attacked the zone and moved the ball to both sides of the plate. Secondary outfielder with athletic actions working through the ball with a one-hand gather. Arm strength on throws to the bases at 87 mph. Right-handed hitter with a slightly open even base and high hands setup in the box. Short stride with linear bat path through the zone. Bat speed and strength with impact out front. Excellent student. Named to the National Uncommitted Showcase Top Prospect List.
