Cason Pool is a 2024 SS/RHP with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Jasper, TX who attends Jasper. Posted a 7.26 in the 60. Primary shortstop showed good feel for the glove. Fundamental actions through the play, flashed strength in the throws across with more to come as the arm action smooths out. Good awareness and stays balanced playing to both sides of the glove. On the mound the right-hander utilizes a simple operation with intent mixing the secondary offerings often. Topped the fastball at 81, maintains low-stress arm action well and established it in the zone. Good athleticism in the delivery, fastball had some heavy life and disrupts some timing with the developing secondary mix. Simple and short to the ball from the right side of the plate, smooth compact path and gets extended through impact. Good feel for the barrel and coordinated. Ease to the process with strength ahead of him to add to the promising hit tool. Good student.
