Andrew Barger is a 2021 LHP with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Clovis, CA who attends Buchanan. Nice athletic build with some present strength and room for more. Works from the stretch with a big body lean to let his arm through in an over the top slot, arm works well out front. Fastball topped out at 80 mph and gets nice running life at times, showed the ability to throw his fastball to both sides of the plate with intent, created lots of swing and miss on the pitch. Curveball flashed good spin and depth at times, tends to slow his arm on the pitch and is not consistent yet with the release. Right handed hitter, has some strength in his swing, long and loose extended swing, uphill swing plane, flashed some power when squared up. Very good student.
