Sebastian Betancourt is a 2026 RHP/C, 1B, OF with a 5-7 131 lb. frame from Doral, FL who attends Doral Academy Charter. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean build, room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.52 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, works exclusively out of the stretch, higher leg lift with balance at top of delivery, direct to the plate with a medium arm action through the back. Repeats mechanics, works around the zone, fastball topped out at 67 mph and mixed a curveball up to 51 mph. Higher set behind the plate, receives the ball out front, opens front side early into release, shorter arm action on release, arm strength will continue to develop. Shows accuracy on throws from both first base and the outfield, young footwork at first, fields the ball to side in the outfield, shorter arm action and releases it out front. Right-handed hitter, begins with an even stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Moving parts to load but stays short to the ball and shows looseness to swing. Comfort working to the middle and pull side parts of the field, creates extension out front and works on a linear plane, projects with additional lower half incorporated into swing.
