Andrew Kowantz is a 2024 OF/MIF with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from New Providence, NJ who attends New Providence. Young, athletic build with plenty of strength remaining to be added throughout frame. 7.11-second during the sixty. Primary outfielder, good glove actions, fielding off to the side, staying through the ball well. Present arm strength up to 81 mph, accurate throws with carry to home. Could incorporate his lower half more to get more downhill. Right-handed hitter, sets up with an open stance, bent at the knees with a high-hand set. Rotational lower half with a compact, line-drive swing plane. Showed some feel for the barrel with flashes of present hand speed. As he adds strength ball should begin to jump off his bat more. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
