LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2022 Northeast Academic Showcase
Alvin Gomez is a 2024 3B/RHP/1B with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from New York, NY who attends All Hallows. Long and athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. Left handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a hanging leg raise trigger, rotational swing with good hand and bat speed, works gap to gap and showed a very accurate barrel, picked up four hits during the games and squared everything up while being consistently on time, projects well as a hitter as he continues to get stronger. 7.81 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, has some arm strength and carry and can change his arm slot on the move, makes accurate throws. Two-way prospect as a pitcher, throws from a 3/4's to mid 3/4's arm slot with nice arm speed. Gets nice sink and run on a fastball that topped out at 85 mph, also mixed in a slurvy curveball that had some shape and was best thrown at higher velocities. Tended to slow his arm on his curveball. Filled up the strike zone and had some feel for pitching. Named to the Northeast Academic Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
