JJ Utash is a 2027 3B/RHP, IF, OF with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Bosque Farms, NM. Posted a 7.90 in the 60. Primary 3B is a medium build with developing mobility in the field. His infield actions can make plays with soft actions through the bag. Makes the glove work well with a quick low slot release. In the OF the approach is similar, sitting on the play with clean glove action transfering the low slot arm action to the outfield for now. On the mound the right-hander topped the fastball at 68 showing a three pitch mix. Utilizes a simple operation and tunnels the developing secondary pitches well. Right-handed hitter found the barrel clean with a promising swing to build on. Hands work well, lets the barrel loose and flashed good carry when he connects.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
