Striker Pence is a 2028 SS/RHP/IF with a 6-2 160 lb. frame from Corona, CA who attends Santiago. Extra-large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, projectable build with some present strength and additional room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.95. Listed as a primary shortstop, graded out highest during look on mound; simpler delivery on the mound with fast arm coming through the backside, works to an extended three-quarters release and does a nice job of utilizing length to generate leverage through the zone. Some effort at release, fastball topped out at 87 mph with hard running life to it while creating big extension out front. Will continue to refine consistent release on slider but maintains arm speed with mid-70s offering, buried it low in the zone. Flashed a changeup at 79 mph. Very intriguing arm on the mound. Big arm strength both from the outfield and infield, longer arm stroke in the infield, deliberate tempo to actions, longer release, arm plays on the left side. Younger actions in the outfield, lots of carry on throws to intended base. Left-handed hitter, begins with an open stance and a lower hand set, utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Creates some separation in swing, puts the barrel on the ball well with comfort working to the pull side, linear path through the zone. Named to the 2023 13u Perfect Game Select Festival.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
