Santino Trina is a 2024 C/RHP/UT with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Punta Gorda, FL who attends Charlotte. Medium frame with some weight and strength to build at present. Ran an 8.67 second 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, worked out behind the dish with developing actions, simple catch and throw skills that should develop with maturity. Also pitched, works a long and deliberate delivery with drop and drive actions down the mound, fastball plays true to velocity and mixed in feel for a sweeping breaking ball. Left-handed hitter, sets up wide, simple and repeatable swing, stays short to the ball and works on a line drive plane with developing feel for the barrel. Good student.
