2022 PG Underclass All-American Games
John Iacono is a 2024 RHP/OF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA who attends Palisades Charter. Smaller young athletic build. Hand drop delivery with a big leg tuck and hip turn, full loose arm swing, extended 3/4's arm slot. Fastball worked in the upper 80's, some effort at release, mostly straight with occasional arm side run. Change up was a nice pitch he threw with confidence, gets nice fade with good arm speed. Curveball was a solid pitch with some tightness and depth and occasional 12/6 downer shape. Fastball is essentially his third best pitch, will be able to mix and match with his three pitches, throws strikes with all of them. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
