2022 California Prospect Showcase
Cooper Rivera is a 2026 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Wildomar, CA who attends Vista Murrieta. Medium frame with proper foot and glove technique from the outfield. Shows a bit of shorter arm action with a couple of accurate two hoppers to the dish. At first base, he displays feel around the bag with accurate double play feeds. At the plate, he sets up with narrow base that works into a coiling load. The rhtyhm needs a touch of polish, but when he got it off on time and in rhythm he back spun the pull side gap with some level of frequency. On the mound, Starts at the belt, hands go to the chest then directs stride to a slight crossfire delivery. Falls a bit to the glove side. The arm is hidden well to the last second. Throws strikes , gets over the front side even with the crossfire. Fastball is deceptive and as velocity increases could be very good. Curve is a good out pitch, with slight side break to add to the good depth. Maturing strength ahead, higher levels after that. 7.24 60-yard.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
