Evan Lauer is a 2025 RHP/2B, 3B, SS with a 6-1 145 lb. frame from Germantown, WI who attends Germantown. A taller frame with a lean & slender build. Ran a 7.78 60-yard dash. A primary right-handed pitcher with a longer arm action and direct actions to the plate moving down the slope. Works with a belt-high leg lift before working down the mound and pitching from a high three-quarters arm slot. He had a good feel for the fastball throughout his outing, locating well to both sides of the plate. The pitch worked 80-83 mph and spun up to 2,047 RPMs. Paired it with a tight spinning breaking ball that had 11-5 action to it. The curveball spun up to 2,250 RPMs. Also mixed in a changeup with arm-side fade that he killed spin on down to 1,650 RPMs while working the low- to mid-70s with the pitch. Great pitchability and feel to sequence and beat batters. Projectable stuff on the mound moving forward. A right-handed hitter with an even base and the hands set high. Slightly open feet with an inward movement of the front side to close up. Shifts the weight onto his backside and then sends the hands to the ball with a pretty direct path. Also worked out as an infielder. Had a smooth release, with throws coming out nicely as they traveled across the diamond. Throws at 77 mph during his round of defense. Gets the glove down early and fields it up the middle, funneling through the middle of the body and gaining momentum to work into the throw. Good student. Named to 2023 North Indoor Showcase TP List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
