Luca Anzalone is a 2025 C/2B with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from The Woodlands, TX who attends The Woodlands College Park. Primary catcher with a younger frame showing some athleticism to the build. Ran a 7.36 second sixty. Showed game like actions behind the plate with a feel for the actions. Does a nice job out of the crouch with a quick release showing average arm strength with a 2.02 second pop time. Ranged well on the infield with feel for the glove and accuracy across the diamond. Is able to change the arm slot on the move while still getting the ball out on time. Has good athleticism to the delivery on the mound working with an uptempo pace. Throws from a low three-quarters slot to side arm at times with some whip to the arm producing a fastball in the 72-78 mph ran. Fastball has more potential velocity with the engagement of the back side and more efficient line to the plate. Also showed a curveball with two plane shape in the upper 60's as his primary off speed pitch. Right-handed hitter, start with an even base and open stance. Flashes bat speed with a compact bat path getting to contact out front and allowing the extension create impact to the pull side gap at his best with solid intent to the swing. Good student.
