Jacob Beard is a 2025 SS/RHP, 2B with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from Claremont, IL who attends Richland County HS. Recorded an 8.12 second 60-yard dash time. Medium frame with a lean build and lots of room to add strength. Primary shortstop with an online release and clean hands up the middle. Solid footwork and sets underneath him well. Arm strength recorded up to 72 mph across the diamond. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a turn step into a high leg lift. Longer arm action with a three-quarters arm slot and good life out of the hand. Showed some tilt to the breaking ball and flashed a fading changeup. Righthanded hitter with a wide base, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Big leg kick and shows some strength to his wrists. Linear swing path with a clean transfer of weight. Tremendous student.
