Carlos Caldera is a 2026 2B/RHP, C, OF with a 5-2 97 lb. frame from Doral, FL who attends Gulliver Schools. Young, square shouldered build, lean frame with room to grow and develop moving forward. Ran a 9.63 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fields the ball out with two hands, utilizes an extra step moving into release, works on top of throws, worked behind the ball going up middle well and shows body control. Take short steps moving towards the ball in the outfield, employs a short crow hop, remains tall through release with a tight arm action, repeats actions; taller stance in set up behind plate during drills, receives out front, long stride out of crouch with full arm action, developing arm strength. Also pitched, small side step into a leg lift up above belt; compact arm action with a high three-quarters release point. High lead arm, fastball topped out at 56 mph, short sink and mixed a curveball up to 51 mph. Right-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a lower hand set at the plate; uses a leg lift trigger for timing in the box and gets spread moving into contact. Keeps hands inside the ball throughout swing, can work to all fields, gets rotational at times, full swing path through the zone, bat speed will continue to improve with added strength.
