Mason Scott is a 2024 3B/RHP, IF, OF with a 6-0 140 lb. frame from Redmond, OR who attends Ridgeview. Large, projectable frame with square shoulders and long limbs, room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran an 8.39 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, fields the ball out front, moves well on feet and shows carry on throws across the diamond, will continue to develop a consistent release point on throws. Also pitched, simple turn at top with a leg lift up to belt, high lead arm with a long arm action through the back working to a high three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 75 mph, pitched exclusively off of it and creates some extension out front, late acceleration, creates short life when working on top of the ball. Righthanded hitter, begins with a tall stance in the box and utilizes a hanging leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Swing with intent and works mostly on a linear plane, showed the ability to go with the pitch in live action with a double to the opposite field gap. Strength projects as he continues to fill out, comfort working to the middle and pull side parts of the field. Excellent student.
