Houston Koch is a 2025 SS/RHP with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from RM Aberdeen, SK CAN. Works from a medium compact frame with some present athleticism. Primary shortstop, stays fairly light on the feet, displays proper footwork as he works through the baseball. Clean funnel that adjusts well, has softness in the hands and covers ground well. Throwing mechanics can use some refinement, utilizes a short arm stroke, recorded arm strength up to 74 mph across the diamond. Secondary right-handed pitcher, worked exclusively from the stretch, keeps the hands around the belt, breaks into a shorter arm path, releases from an over-the-top slot. Located the fastball consistently at the top of the zone, topped it out at 74 mph. Mixed in a curveball with a bit of downward break. Right-handed hitter, starts in an open base with a high hand set-up and high back elbow, utilizes a hover trigger, has some present hand speed and can work the entire field. Produced consistent contact to the middle of the field with an occasional line drive into the gaps, projects for more power as he continues to physically mature, recorded an exit velocity of 79 mph. Ran a 7.02 sixty-yard dash. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
