2022 Florida Prospect Showcase
Chase Buchanon is a 2024 2B/MIF with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from Orange Park, FL who attends Episcopal. Medium athletic build with good physical projection ahead. Switch hitter at the plate, showed better bat speed and barrel control from the right side, has rhythm to his right handed swing with a good weight shift into contact, similar swing mechanics left handed but lacks the strength in his swing from that side at present. 7.25 runner in the sixty. Has nice actions in the middle infield on defense, works low to the ground and has soft hands out front, clean and easy transfer on his throws, makes accurate throws. Good athlete who will keep getting better as he gets stronger. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
