Jack Smejkal is a 2026 SS/RHP with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from The Woodlands, TX who attends The Woodlands. Long and lean athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, starts from an open stance with a high hand load, has a short swing and an accurate barrel, fast hands through the ball, repeats his timing and swing very well, consistent hard barrel contact mostly to the pull side, projects very well as a hitter as he gets stronger. 7.89 runner in the sixty. Has fluid actions in the middle infield, works through the ball smoothly and with good balance, well schooled on his footwork, projectable arm strength. Also took a turn on the mound, has a compact high arm action, fastball worked in the upper 70's and was mostly straight with occasional sink. Twisting slider was his most used breaking ball, also let up on this pitch for more of a curveball shape. Polished player for his age who will continue to improve with strength and physical maturity.
