Zachary Taylor is a 2024 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-11 168 lb. frame from Fair Lawn, NJ who attends Fair Lawn. Medium, long levered frame with room to add strength and fill out. Recorded a 8.03 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary left-handed pitcher that worked from a full windup delivery with a lower leg lift into balance, a high front lever and medium stride length down the slope. Simple, repeatable operation with feel for his entire three-pitch mix, fastball worked in the mid-to-upper 70s for the majority of his outing and topped out at 78 mph from a clean three-quarters arm slot. Showed good command to either side of the plate, mimicked both release point and arm speed on faded changeup exceptionally well. Landed two-plane curveball for strikes and displayed the ability to manipulate speed and shape to it at times. Will continue to add velocity with additional strength. Secondary first baseman with a developing defensive skill set. Displayed some range to either side, a deep funnel to field and accurate throws across the diamond. Recorded arm strength up to 77 mph during drills. Took part in the outfield portion of the defensive workout as well, where he showed good footwork into the fielding process and maintained momentum into release. Gathered cleanly and transitioned well into the throwing motion. Recorded arm strength up to 76 mph during outfield portion. Left-handed hitter that hits from an open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and hanging leg lift trigger. Incorporates rotational lower half mechanics and some whip to his barrel. Displayed consistent contact to the pullside and will continue to expand potential power with proper swing adjustments and additional physical maturity. Tons of upside on the mound due to overall ease of operation and present pitchability. Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
