KC Fall Softball Scouting Combine Afternoon Session
Sturgis Fridley is a 5'2, class of 2024, MIF/3B, OF from Milo, IA who attends Southeast Warren HS. Sturgis is an up and coming young player who has a solid fundamental foundation. With continued attention to the basics of the game, she could definitely have a chance at the next level. Sturgis ran a 3.73 20-yard dash with a 1,30 5-yard split. A primary middle infielder, Sturgis shows sound awareness for the position, along with an evolving skill set. She shows admirable footwork that allows her to position well. Her glove work is routine and she has a measured, but sure transition. Her 51-mph throws are consistently accurate. Great effort! At the plate, this RHH has a commendable approach. She has a good feel for the bunt game. She is easy and smooth to contact. There is some quickness to her operation. She has a solid line drive approach which works well for her current level of development. There is some power potential in her swing. There is a sound foundation here that should continue to develop as her career continues. Sturgis shows a great effort level and her positive body language says that softball is very important to her! Like her passion! Solid future!
