Joshua Simanton is a 2023 C/RHP, 1B, 3B with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Gilbert, AZ who attends Highland. Medium frame with slender, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.13 seconds. Hits from even-based stance, high hand set, active pre-pitch movements, stiffness in lower half through stroke, smoothness to barrel bath, flashes bat speed. Worked out behind the plate, offset set up, high set, quick transfer and release with compact arm stroke, good accuracy. Also pitched, rigid arm stroke through the back, low elbow, fastball worked 74-78 mph, showed curveball as well. Very good student.
