Ian Goodness is a 2023 1B/RHP, 3B with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Palmyra, NY who attends Palmyra-Macedon Senior. He ran a 8.54 second sixty. A primary first baseman, with a longer lengthy frame. At first base he approaches the ball under control fielding the ball deep, turns to second were okay with developing foot speed but go them in the right place to make an accurate throw. Right-handed pitcher, repeats his clean easy arm action well, fastball has some plane in the 74-78 mph range from a high three-quarters arm slot, controlled the fastball to both side of the plate and mixed in a 11-5 shaped breaking ball, has some feel for the spin landing it for strikes, has some projection on the mound with upside as he fills out the frame. Right-hitter, starts in a crouched stance with an even base, back elbow drifts above the head in the load, barrel work inside the baseball with developing bat speed, work best to the opposite field. Excellent student.
