Cam Rakaczewski is a 2028 SS/RHP with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Greencastle, PA who attends Greencastle-Antrim. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and long, lean limbs, lots of room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.53 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, young actions in the dirt, longer arm stroke through the backside, solid arm strength and carry across the diamond, makes the plays and shows a bounce in step. Also pitched and shows upside on bump; high leg raise at start of delivery, works to a mid three-quarters release with an up-tempo pace. Fastball jumps out of hand and shows nice running life to it up to 81 mph. Gets on top of breaking ball well, up to 69 mph with slurve shape through the zone, can change shape with bigger depth early in the count. Kills spin on changeup effectively at 71 mph, comfort to locate to glove side corner. Nice potential on the mound. Listed as a switch-hitter, only took right-handed reps; spread stance and gathers well moving into contact. Swings with intent, contact oriented approach, shifts weight well through lower half, consistent to the pull side gap with lots of timing in swing. Excellent student.
