Austin Rexroat is a 2009 RHP/3B/OF with a 6', 175 lb frame from Cincinnati, OH who attends Anderson HS. Austin has an athletic build with some room to fill out. On the mound Austin has a good feel for pitching as commands his pitches well and has a good idea of how to change speeds. Austin has a short arm action and does a good job of staying online in his delivery. His best off-speed pitch is a solid slurve that can be used as a good out pitch. At the plate Austin has a line-drive swing plane that produces good pop from gap to gap. He shows good hand strength with a short swing and his power projects fairly well. Austin is a solid student that could attract the attention of many mid to high-level college programs.
