Will Whitehead is a 2024 SS/RHP with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Dallas, TX who attends Jesuit College Prep. Posted a 6.95 in the 60 yard dash. Primary SS, he is a solid athlete with good mobility and run tool. The quick footwork transfers well to the infield, he has smooth actions and good sync in the glove and approach intact. The developing arm has some projection to to it and he ranges well with good feel for playing up the middle. In the outfield, the action are a bit longer, more athletic ability to catch and release than fluid motion. On the mound the right-hander was an effective secondary arm with some pitchability and knowledge of the zone. Simple operation medium lift and 3/4 arm slot, FB showed some late tail life with a good CB/CH mix. Right-handed hitter, he kept it simple mostly working middle to pull side well and showed off good bat to ball skill in game play. Good student. Named to 2021 South Prospect Top Prospect List.
