James Jorgensen is a 2026 SS/RHP/OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Dallas, TX who attends Jesuit College Prep. Solid athletic build with good present strength and more to come. Right handed hitter, hits from an even stance with a very simple and direct swing approach, short downward path into contact, has strength in his hands and swing and can back spin the ball into the gaps. 6.75 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, is light on his feet and has lots of athletic bounce, fields the ball confidently, tends to bend at the waist a bit, higher arm slot with big carry on his throws, has all the tools to stay in the middle of the field. Also worked out in the outfield and showed the same full clean arm action with tons of carry. Took a turn on the mound, has a rocker step delivery with a high leg raise, long arm takeaway to a high 3/4's arm slot, easy and athletic mechanics. Fastball topped out at 90 mph with high spin rate carry up in the zone, spotted his fastball very well to the glove side. Curveball had big 12/6 depth with 2600+ spin rates. Plus athlete whose ceiling will be as high as his bat takes him. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
