Matt Malek is a 2024 C/3B with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Paradise Valley. Medium, average build. Ran the 60 yard dash in 8.24 seconds. Primary catcher whose throws from behind the dish topped out at 66 mph and went along with his best pop time of 2.18 seconds. On the offensive side of the ball, he hits out of a square and balanced stance with a toe tap trigger. Showed a flat bat path through the zone which paired nicely with his all-fields approach at the plate. Excellent student.
